I’ve never trained with a sledgehammer but this seems like the perfect complement to a kettlebell swing or snatch!
Alternating them would be a challenging but awesome workout!
Panaerobic too!

A different approach to sledgehammer training is at shovelglove.com. The shovelglove method uses a medley of movements and rather than pounding a tire, movements are brought to a controlled stop. An approach along the HH style where you can adjust difficulty by changing weight, range of motion or tempo.
John do you currently use Shovelglove moves?
True and Shovelglove movements require the tire or the danger of a high impact swing! Thanks for reminding me and the other readers ….
